Welcome to our April newsletter.
Life is measured by occasions, holidays and events. Business is measured in quarters. In the 6th year of our company, the first quarter of 2010 was our best 3 month period ever. We thank all of you who found our 'secret showroom', loved our designs and gave us the privilege of designing your homes. From Boston to Atlanta, from Long Island to Dubois, Pennsylvania, through rainstorms and snowstorms, you came to see us.
And we are sincerely grateful to all of you.
Now let us show you what we've been up to. New designs have just arrived in our showroom, clients have received their deliveries and we will also show you the start of some great home designs.

J.R. from Texas and his beautiful Boston bride needed some life put into their great room. Their white leather sectional needed some help, so Pia designed a spectacular custom area rug, pair of chairs and a dramatic wall color to make this room a fashion statement. Go Red Sox????

Mere words cannot describe the appreciation and generosity this wonderful family showed us. After a day of delivering their furniture, we were invited to dine on a 5 course home cooked dinner. The finest restaurants in Manhattan couldn't top this meal. Oh, the furniture is not bad either.

The sultry voice and the musical talents of this couple kept us dancing for an entire night; (yes, Larry dances). They perform all over the tri-state area and their popularity and talent is only surpassed by the heroic acts of the hubby and his dad. (miracle on the Hudson; Sept. 11, 2001.)
They've bought from us for many years and needed their living room in their new stunning home to feel like a cool jazz club.

Contemporary styling is also about incorporating a soft color palette on shapely styles. Look at the detailed curvature of the arm and the soft curve of the custom area rug. Not loud, not bold, but contemporary elegance.

Heart felt generosity. Friendship. Loyalty. We are blessed to have these clients in our lives. The people who walk through our doors are more than just customers. First they drove three hours to us in order to purchase. Then they built an entire new wing to their home just so they could furnish it by us. Now they updated their living room in the latest color combinations, using a custom sectional, rugs, and window treatments.
But when they heard Pia was painting again, they had to have the first.

Using Pia's artistry, color sense and design ingenuity we are able to create custom art sculptures. We use them as wall sculptures, coffee tables and dining tables. The colors used and the materials used tie a room together. Here we used a combination of high gloss lacquer finishes, cherry wood and brushed copper for a spectacular coffee table base.

We have furnished the entire home of this couple known for their worldwide inspirational messages. Their great room needed just the right finishing touch so they commissioned Pia to do an original painting.

The following designs are our response to the lazy, boring, uncreative direction that the furniture industry has taken the last few years. Yes we still have beiges and browns, but now we have.....................COLOR!!!!!!

The Contemporary Couch continues to set the tone for creative furniture design. Here we use seafoam and lilac leather with a coordinated fabric. Of course a dramatic custom area rug completes the setting.

Renovation time for a beautiful home in Bergen County. Fireplace, windows, floors and of course new furniture from The Contemporary Couch. Two connecting rooms need to be coordinated in style, coverings and colors. For entertaining purposes, a lot of seating, and a conversational flow.

As you can see, thanks to all of you, we've been busy pursuing our goal of battling the sameness of all the furniture you see in stores today. Creativity is not dead.
It's located in a 'secret showroom', in Carlstadt, NJ.
Join us next month when spotlight the original artwork we've been creating, dynamic window cornices being installed to our friends in Towaco and Wayne, and furniture deliveries to Staten Island including such a perfectly coordinated home, even the family dog has coordinated nail polish!
