They shopped around in the other 'furniture stores'. They looked in the typical 'leather stores'. They found our website on the internet and wondered if it's worth the drive to the office building in Carlstadt. They walk in very hesitant, wondering what they will find.

He's very conservative, she's a financial whiz. Beautiful conservative home. Just looking for a 'couch'. Something in 'brown'. Nothing too loud. This store is a little 'overwhelming'......what will happen?

Two visits to our showroom, one visit to their home, hours of planning, Godiva chocolates and coffee, good conversation and BINGO! New friends, circular 2-tone leather sectional covered in rich chocolate and tobacco, 2 matching chairs, fabric ottoman, custom area rug and a custom window treatment.

How do we go from a 'brown couch' to a perfectly coordinated spectacular room design? We take the time to explain design, qualities of leather, and space planning. We worked with them to discover what they really wanted their room to say about them and their home. We worked together on color and fabrics and designs until they were satisfied they had accomplished their design goals. They like us as people, as designers, as business people...and we appreciate them as new clients.

We don't just sell furniture, we design living environments.

Dear Pia & Larry,

   Thank you so much for making our furniture buying experience such a joy!!  This was the first time that we've worked with a designer to create a complete look for an entire room and we didn't know what to expect.  You made the process pleasurable and easy and we are DELIGHTED with the outcome!!

   We weren't certain what to do to tie together the modern art that we own with the tribal textiles and embroideries that we've collected, but you helped us figure it out.  I'm not sure if you remember, but one of the first things we said to you was "We don't own a modern house and we're not looking for contemporary furniture.  We just want a nice couch...can you work with us?"  You assured us that you could, and all I can say is that our expectations were EXCEEDED!!

   And I can't say that we were the easiest of clients: Traditionalists in a Contemporary environment...even with your great sense of style and coaching, we agonized over whether or not to two-tone the couch (--I know, an easy choice for some, but a big step for us!!), and now realize that you were absolutely correct...we LOVE the rich juxtaposition of the complementary earth tones (and it does not fee too "over the top" for us).  Also it is not possible to describe how AWESOME the window treatment looks.  In mid-afternoon, the sunlight hits the valence in such a way that the threads appear to glow with a rich golden tone from within-amazing!!

   And if that was not enough, I don't know where to begin regarding the beautiful rug that you designed for us.  It not only ties together the new things that we selected with the things we already own, but now we have another amazing piece of original art, this one "by Pia", to complement our existing art work and textiles collection.

   We can't thank you enough and want you to help us with the next room that we're getting ready to decorate.  Although I can't promise you that we'll ever fully escape from our analytical ways ...investigating, analyzing, reviewing the options, considering the alternatives, creating mock-ups ...you've been a tremendous influence in getting us to connect with our fun/creative sides!!
