The website and our original designs bring clients from all over the country.  This time the client was from Dubois, Pennsylvania (nearest town-Pittsburgh!)

The process usually works the same for most clients, no matter where they live.  She first came into the showroom, loved our designs, felt comfortable with us and received an estimate of costs. After leaving a retainer towards her purchase, we made the 51/2 hour trip to her home and then she came back in, (for an entire day and night!)

And what a wonderful home this is.  This is a major renovation to a home on a lake and a golf course, surrounded by woods.  The outside looks like an understated contemporary log cabin.  The inside looks like a Malibu beach house.  It is gorgeous.

Kitchen

Since there is not much to do in Dubois I'm told, inviting people over for dinner is very important.  The kitchen has two islands.  One for serving, the other for eating.  We put seven bar stools and a sectional in the kitchen.  The palate is black leather, silver/black vinyl solid and patterned and a squiggly fabric in blacks and silvers.  We actually are using a leather sectional with vinyl on the arms just to get the excitement of the patterned vinyl.

A coordinating hexagonal glass room will house a 72" round glass top table over a patterned wood inlay.  A round bench and six chairs matching the barstools will now allow sixteen people to eat in the kitchen while five lay on the sectional!

Dining Room and Great Room

The family room/dining room is one huge long room.  This family entertains!  The dining table will have ten chairs in oak vinyl and patterned microfibre.  The dining table is stone with geometric patters inlaid in banana, terracotta and mulberry.  Absolutely original!  The buffet is finished on both sides because it acts as a room divider and will also have the pattern inlaid on top.

The curvy sectional will seat 10-12 guests and will have a copper metallic vinyl seat for style and durability.  A custom rug with some of the "mulberry" color in it will link the rooms together and a coordinating cocktail table in terra stone complete the room.

We are proud to present a world- wide debut of a custom dining room manufactured for this client, that is an original design by Pia. Inlaid stone in a contemporary style to perfectly coordinate with the fabrics and colors of the great room. Our custom area rugs, art sculptures, window cornices and now this dining room are all one-of-a-kind designs that you own exclusively.

Living Room

The living room will have a vibrant two tone purple dramatic sofa to match two chairs the client has and an acrylic cocktail table in the purples and blues.  Total drama!

This client is part of a hardworking family.  Not only do they have very demanding careers taking care of the health needs of their community but they have guided their children into a direction of competitive fencing at the international level and hopefully one day, at the Olympic level.

As serious and focused as they have to be to achieve all of this, our client is sweet and warm and fun to be around and a pleasure to work with.

We can't wait until the furniture arrives so that we get to see more of their dreams come true in their beautiful "new" home.  But mostly, we just want to have a cup of coffee at the counter of this amazing kitchen with our new friend.
