This client has a stately traditional home with a wonderful taste level. Each ceiling in the 12 room home is sculptured in various designs to add depth and character to each room. Several marble fireplaces, tiger oak floors, and a magnificent library highlight this home. The challenge was to use contemporary, shapely furniture in a classic room. The approach is to work with a soft palette of olives and sages. The fabric chosen for the upholstered backs, coordinates with the wall colors perfectly, and the cream leather seat adds just the right touch. A 16ft. custom area rug, combining the creamy marble on the fireplace, and the soft greens of the upholstery, and a custom coffee table completes the room.
    The shapely nature of contemporary furniture, can be used in a transitional home. It's the colors and textures used, that determine the softness and richness, as opposed to the loud and brash. The timeless nature of beautiful furniture can work with any style home.
