It is just as exciting to design a first home for a young couple starting out as it is to help a more experienced couple downscale.  After teaching the children of New Jersey for most of their adult lives, this energetic couple has selected a fabulous condo complex to retire to.  They like contemporary and they like color!  Who ever said bright color and graphic shapes are for the young has never met our clients who are younger at heart than most 30 year olds!

These clients found our website.  Since they are experienced consumers, they went to many furniture stores to compare design as well as price.  They found our designs to be the most creative and our prices to be the best as well.  But really, I think we all just got along really well!  They have the passion for home fashion that we have.  We have debated the differences between mango and orange for an hour.  We love that stuff.

This client had a dining room set in graphic blue and periwinkle chairs.  They selected a round orange leather sectional.  An angled chair in a bold pattern and periwinkle arms with an ottoman for comfort was selected and a lime green corkscrew chair for accent.

A white metal bar with frosted glass and a blue glass media buffet will add to the sleek feel of this hot space.  Of course a very graphic rug was designed to compliment the entire look.

Designing homes is a shared passion between people of any age group and any ethnicity. The pride we take in our business is matched by the pride our client feels for their home.

This beautiful condo is owned by two retired schoolteachers who spent all their lives educating and advising young people. THEY LOVE COLOR! They love contemporary design and the love shape. No wonder they love 'The Contemporary Couch!'

CLIENT'S OWN WORDS:

Good morning Pia, Larry & Alex,     Where shall we begin as we attempt to describe one of the best happenings in our life? It all started last August after we had closed on our "new" condo. Having always liked a modern look, we started combing the highway furniture stores for that look, but to no avail. Although we're not computer savvy, a friend suggested that we check on-line for "modern furniture." Sure enough what should appear but a place called The Contemporary Couch, just the words we wanted to hear. So we took a field trip to Carlstadt.     Lo and behold, as soon as we entered the foyer, we knew that we had "discovered" a whole new world of class, color, design and style. Then when we met Pia and Larry, we knew that we were dealing with two classy and stylish design experts. Now, nine months later, we feel so comfortable with them whether we are in their modern museum-like showroom or they are in our condo doing their job. Not only is Pia an expert at designing a room, she is also an unbelievably talented artist. How she finds the time to create her unique works is unfathomable to us! On the other hand, Larry complements her ideas with his own brand of softly-spoken suggestions. Together they are a remarkable couple who care, listen, advise, and respond as does their receptionist Alex.     Every piece of furniture we now have in our living/dining area is outstanding and unique,not to mention the special area rugs and window treatments. Our condo is a work in progress, a "job" that we hope never ends because Pia and Larry have become such an integral part of our life.     Pia and Larry, thank you for helping us transform our living space into a New York-like apartment.
