Many of you know the joy of watching a child grow up and mature. Taking on the world and adding up achievements before your eyes.  We feel this way about about Chris, the owner of this property. He's not our child but we first met him at Living Rooms Plus, when he applied for a position as Pia's assistant.  He walked in full of youthful exuberance.  Corn rows in his hair, grunge look, singer in a rock band, we recognized in him a caring and responsible nature. From mailing swatches to Pia's clients, to directing traffic on our famous midnight sale nights, he did it all. Through the years he finished school and always stayed in touch with us after we left LRP.

When we opened 'The Contemporary Couch', he helped us through the summers.  We watched in admiration as he finished college, cleaned up his appearance and started his graduate degree. His career path started with a position as a music teacher, bringing his love of music into the lives of young children.  A new car followed, and all the years of saving money paid off with the purchase of his first condo, which we are helping him furnish.

Chris is one of the building blocks of our company and to see him grow up to be a responsible, well educated, giving person makes us very proud that we met him years ago.  He's like a son to us even though he already has great parents.  We will continue to watch him grow with our admiration and our thanks for all he did for us.

As with many young people in their first apartment, or their first condo, finances are an issue in furniture. Chris could have gone to the big chains that sell cheap imports but he wanted to have quality for his home, and of course wanted Pia's design touch to bring his home to life.

As you have seen on our site, we design some of the most beautiful homes in the tri-state area. But we also design apartments and clients with limited budgets. We designed a beautiful leather and microfiber corner sectional for seating. We added a few floor samples from the showroom at substantial savings, and of course, Pia selected a dramatic paint scheme for the walls.

We wanted to help Chris make his first apartment into a home. We are very proud of his amazing accomplishments the last few years.  We hope we helped in making his dreams come true because he certainly helped us achieve ours.

Over the years, Larry and Pia have guided me through many obstacles and were always there for me when I needed them. They quickly became my friends and acted as role models as I went through school.   I soon realized that they were going to be an integral part of my life for a long time.
    Eight years later, here I am with a new car, condo, job, and on my way to my first graduate degree. These decisions were made thanks to the great advice that Larry and Pia were always able to give me. They have always held high expectations of me and would never accept anything but the best, which helped me to be a better employee, musician, student, and all-around person.
    As highly-qualified, honest, and down-to-earth professionals, Larry and Pia are very easy to work with and talk to.   Even though I may not be rich with a huge house, they were clearly able to accommodate my needs based on my personality, budget and living space. Larry is an extraordinary businessman with a knack for, well, just about anything! Pia is an extremely talented artist and businesswoman who will immediately assess the type of person you are and design a room/home perfect for you, without fail!   Both Larry and Pia will make you feel welcome by accepting you into their warm, friendly showroom, which I have come to call my second home.   Well, actually, half the showroom has become my REAL home!   Thanks for everything!
