About seven years ago when we worked at Living Rooms Plus we had the opportunity to meet this exciting young family.  We designed their entire home in Mendham and they were very happy.

This year we got a call that they were moving to a new home in New Vernon, NJ (next to Basking Ridge) and their family had grown.  They were selling the other (magnificent) home with all the furnishings we had designed for them!

The new home is even more spectacular.  The rooms are enormous, the ceilings are 50ft.

We began with only one request by the client.  She loved the orange, hot green, copper and aqua walls the previous owner had painted.  I had to coordinate all the rooms of furniture to go with those colors and to blend with each other.

This is the largest dining room we have made (so far!)  The front window is rounded so the table is designed to have a six foot round shape at one end with a long pill shape coming out of it.  And I mean long!  The table is 22 feet long!  It matches the shape of the contoured trey ceiling and has gold, copper and cream inlays to bring out the paint colors of the room.

Two circular and curvy custom curios were designed to go with it and a buffet to fit perfectly into a soffitted, lighted nook.  Above the buffet, I designed a sculpture mirror in green, orange, copper and gold overlapping ovals.  The front curved window has curved enormous cornices to accentuate the shape and colors of the rooms.  The dining table is complimented with sixteen angled chairs in cream and tangerine and two host chairs with a tuxedo back.  (Yes eighteen chairs, no need to bring folding chairs!)  The 28 foot rug in all the colors and geometric shapes that the client loves will be the most outrageous rug ever photographed.  We hope we are able to capture the drama of this room.  It is stunning!

This is not just furniture. This is creative contemporary design. We are able to manufacture whatever we draw. Look at the scale, and unique design. It's not for everyone. A piece like this is for the client that wants to make a statement!

We could have put a nice plain mirror over a standard buffet. It's just not us. Look at the coordination of colors, the detailed design. Interlocking lacquer shapes bring dimension to the mirror. The circular lit cutouts in the buffet give a truly unique effect.

The chairs are 'saluting' the majestic table. Contrasting insets on both sides of the chair tie in the wall colors to the room. Look at the slanted top of each chair. Another special touch.

The obvious star of the room is the dining table.  A  21 ft.  custom masterpiece.  Beautiful custom inlays and a stunning circular end to match the curved architecture of the room. Oval glass cutouts with mirror backsplashes adds to the drama.

Now, look at the difference the finishing touches provide. A spectacular, colorful, custom 28ft. rug underneath the dining table, and the shapely cornice above the window. Colorful, shapely and all one-of-a-kind designs.  All hand drawn and manufactured by superior craftsmen.
