This family purchased from us when we worked at Living Rooms Plus 10 years ago. When they decided to build their dream home in a spectacular lake view setting in Kinnelon, they again turned to us to make their home even more special.

They built a home so unique and so beautiful it has to be seen to be believed. No square corners, only rounded shapely walls everywhere. The imported stairway is itself a design and architectural wonder. The glass walls provide windows to the outside world and the two sided, 30 foot high glass fireplace is truly one of a kind.

For this purchase, they needed two custom area rugs to coordinate with pre-existing furniture, and our patented window cornices for every room in the home.

Custom Area Rugs

Even the most beautiful rooms need a Pia award winning custom area rug. They are all hand drawn, designed and manufactured to be the perfect complement to any room.

In this one large room there are 2 separate seating areas. Pia's design challenge was to coordinate the 2 areas and to create designs to add to the drama of the 30ft. ceilings and amazing glass architecture. The colors selected are cream, taupe, two shades of blue and a black accent.

The design process starts with Pia coming to the home to measure the pre-existing furniture and see the colors of the room, so the shapes and colors will be represented in the rug. Then the client and Pia discuss adding special touches of multi levels, metallic threads, and color gradations.

Then, Pia presents the drawings, done by hand, for approval by the client. The exact color are also chosen.

After approval, computer drawings are done, accurately representing the design and placement of colors. This step eliminates any guesswork. Even though you are ordering a custom product, you are getting to see what the final rug will look like. Changes can still be made at this point, insuring your custom area rug will be exactly as you wish.

Finally the day of delivery comes. Anticipation turns to excitement. Will the designs on paper turn prove to be just as beautiful in reality? Judge for yourself. The architecture of the room is outstanding, the furniture bold and beautiful, but look how the colors and shaping of the rugs add to the warmth and design of the room.

Custom Cornices

Since we now design and manufacture our window cornices, we are able to create truly original works of art. This client has an outstanding curved wall of windows in the living room that calls for a unique design. Individual rows of color gradated threads are the basis of this masterpiece. The color gradations is the artistry behind our hand made cornices.

In the kitchen Pia designed a 22 ft. design to span across the glass doors and windows that leads out to the lake. Our cornices provide design and color without inhibiting the tremendous views.

Bedroom Cornices

In the bedroom and office we combined several styles and color ranges to suit the particular room. In the master bedroom the severity of the curved walls were a real challenge. Look at how the designs hug the wall to create such a dramatic sweep. The colors are blended to coordinate the finish on the bedroom set and the color palette of the comforter and bed sheets.

In the son's room, we needed a little more masculine look using different shades of blue. Again the curved walls add to the drama of the design

Dining Room
